Suffice it to say, Mom is one beautiful and talented woman.
She works full-time as an accountant and has no plans to retire. Yet, she still takes time to do wonderful things for her family.
Mom made a quilt for me several years ago, which I will post on at a later date. She laughs when I tell her that quilt influenced me to built my new cottage, but it's true.
Anyway, as many of you know, Larry and I were very sick Christmas Day and didn't get to be with my mom and sister (and her family.) So, I had not seen the quilt Mom worked on for a month and my sister unwrapped Christmas Day.
She sent me a picture of it this past Sunday.
I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this picture attached to an email. Each square is embroidered. Mom uses a Bernina. I am not certain of the model. This quilt is king size.
Isn't is beautiful??? The quilt is almost a Harlequin design. Mom is going to make me one! Mine will be country blues.
So, that is it. Can you imagine this spread across your bed!!! It is truly a work of art.
Oh, one more thing. Mom will be 80 years old in July, 2012.
Mom, I love you.....
